Several runners and walkers competed under the lights on Hill City's track on a beautiful evening for the first
running of Friday Night Flights. Several flights of 1 mile races were held, with a large group of walkers kicking off
the night. Awards were given to runners finishing in the top three in their respective divisions. Hill City runners
Mariah Asheim, Jessica Bintliff and Jessica McDonald were the top women to finish, clocking the same time of 8:03.1.
Andy Coy, also of Hill City, was the fastest male, setting a track record with a time of 4:34.0.
Rusty Coy was the top master's runner, finishing in 8:28.2
The final Friday Night Flight event will be a 2 mile run held at Hill City High School's cinder track on August
15th. Registration begins at 7pm and flights for runners of all abilities will begin at 8:00pm. For more information
