The Kadoka girls put on a spectacular performance at the Tomahawk Golf Course on Tuesday. Three Kadoka girls' top
three runners looked outstanding and seem to be almost unbeatable in the Class B ranks, which scores three runners at
the state meet. Karly Konkol of Custer (5th) took at early lead, but 8 minutes into the race the top two Kadoka girls
started to turn on the heat. Tia Carlson ended up winning for Kadoka, followed by her teammate Abby Neihoff, Jessica
Tall of Pine Ridge, Bailey Voss of Lead-Deadwood who was a suprising 4th and then Konkol of Custer.
In the boy's race, the Hot Springs Bison won a closely contested event, with the top 6 teams all within 10 points.
Andy Coy broke 17 minutes on the mile high course, followed by Colton Njos, the standout freshman from Belle Fourche who was
second in 17:26, another outstanding time on the course. Toby Spitzer ran for third place to lead Coach John Entwisle's
Bison.
This race served as a "Pre-Region" meet for the upcoming Region 5A cross country meet.
