Now, an overwhelming majority of the research tells us the silliness of static stretching. It doesn't help an athlete
get ready to practice or compete, it can lead to injury and decrease muscle power. Of course a warm-up is important,
but that means literally warming up the muscles and going through the range of motions specific to your sport.
